Overview of the Implementation of K3 Inspection and Safe Behavior as an Effort to Prevent Work Accidents in Oil Palm Processing Factory Workers at PTPN III Sei Mangkei in 2018
Introduction
The oil palm processing industry is one of the largest industries in Indonesia, with many workers employed in various roles. However, despite the importance of this industry, oil palm processing factory workers face a high risk of work accidents while carrying out their duties. Work accidents often occur unplanned and uncontrolled, triggered by various factors such as human error, environmental conditions, or a combination of these factors. This incident can cause injury, death, property damage, or unwanted situations. Therefore, this research was conducted to provide an overview of the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Inspection (K3) as well as safe behavior that was applied as an effort to prevent work accidents at PTPN III Sei Mangkei's palm oil processing plant in 2018.

Research Methodology
This research is qualitative using the method of observation and in-depth interviews, as well as the collection of relevant documentation of the company. In total, there are 8 informants divided into three categories, namely 6 main informants (workers), 1 supporting informant, and 1 key informant. To ensure data validity, researchers use source triangulation, which is a cross-check method aimed at comparing the data obtained. In addition, the triangulation of the method is also applied to validate the results of the interview. Data analysis is carried out through a domain analysis approach, by classifying 15 assessments in the observation sheet related to this research.
Research Findings
The results of interviews and observations show that some workers are still doing unsafe behavior, which is often caused by discomfort in work and pressure from work demands. Some workers feel forced to take initiatives in carrying out tasks that are not actually his authority. Conversely, workers who apply safe behavior are generally driven by fear of the risk of work accidents, so they are more obedient to existing regulations.
The application of safe behavior in the workplace is in line with good results from K3 inspection, because the assessment in inspection is one indicator of worker behavior. In other words, if workers obey the K3 procedure, good inspection results will be easier to achieve.
