Introduction

In the world of finance, dividend policy is one of the most critical factors that affect a company's market value. For investment companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), understanding the impact of dividend policy on market value is essential for investors and company managers. This study aims to analyze the effect of dividend policies both partially and simultaneously on the market value of investment companies listed on the IDX.

Research Methodology

This study uses a purposive sampling method, where ten companies registered on the IDX during the period 2010 to 2013 were made the object of research. The data analyzed were taken from the annual report published on the website www.idx.co.id. A multiple linear regression approach and hypothesis testing were used to analyze the data.

However, not all variables have a positive impact. The book value of equity, investment, and debt partially shows a negative effect on the company's market value. This can be caused by the negative perception of investors on increasing debt, which can increase the company's financial risk. In addition, an unbalanced increase in investment can cause uncertainty among investors, thereby reducing market value.

Furthermore, operational net cash flows have a significant positive influence on the company's market value, provided there is no adverse change in regional income and financial assets. This shows the importance of cash flow stability in attracting investors' attention and increasing market confidence.

F Test Analysis

The F test analysis with an error rate of 5% shows that simultaneously, all of these variables have a significant influence on the company's market value. This confirms that dividend policy does not stand alone; but rather influenced by various interrelated factors.

Coefficient of Determination

The coefficient of determination of 0.748 shows that the regression model is able to explain 74.8% of variations in the company's market value, while the remaining 25.2% is influenced by other variables that are not involved in this study.
