In recent years, the use of coconut water in plant embryo culture has gained significant attention due to its potential benefits in improving the growth and development of plantlets. This study aims to investigate the effects of coconut water on the culture of green bean embryos (Phaseolus radiatus L.) and its interaction with different varieties of green beans. The research was conducted at the Research and Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, North Sumatra, Medan, from November 2008 to December 2008.

Meanwhile, green bean varieties had a significant effect on the number of roots, root weight, total plantlet weight, and the number of plantlets.
