The number of coronary artery lesions was measured using a vessel score, and the relationship between serum HS-CRP levels and vessel scores was analyzed using the Chi-Square method.

Results

Of the 48 research subjects, as many as 16 subjects (33.3%) experienced STEMI, NSTEMI, or Steam. In terms of HS-CRP levels, 15 subjects (31.25%) indicated a value of ≥ 3 mg/L, while 33 subjects (68.75%) had levels <3 mg/L. Based on the vessel score, the number of subjects with a score of 0, 1, 2, and 3 each was 10 (20.8%), 12 (25%), 10 (20.8%), and 16 (33.3%). The average HS-CRP content found was 0.510 ± 0.203 mg/L for a score of 0, 1,967 ± 0.729 mg/L for a score of 1, 2,010 ± 0.689 mg/L for a score of 2, and 5,388 ± 1,979 mg/L for a score of 3. Chi-square analysis showed a significant correlation between HS-CRP levels and vessel scores (p <0.001).

Based on this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between HS-CRP levels and the number of coronary arterial lesions in patients with acute coronary syndrome. This shows that HS-CRP can be used as a potential biomarker to estimate the risk of coronary artery lesions and guide further treatment strategies to patients with this condition.
