However, the question remains: what factors contribute to the success of the Dopamine Cafe? This study aims to investigate the effect of social media and entrepreneurial skills on the success of the Dopamine Cafe business.

Background

The Dopamine Cafe is a well-known cafe in Medan, known for its unique and delicious menu offerings. With a strong presence on social media, the cafe has been able to attract a large following and maintain a strong reputation in the market. However, the cafe's success is not solely dependent on its social media presence. Entrepreneurial skills, such as planning, financial management, marketing, and product innovation, also play a crucial role in determining the cafe's success.

Methodology

This study employed an associative research design, which lasted from June 2021 to completion. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling, with a total of 97 respondents. Validity and reliability tests were conducted to ensure that all variables, including social media, entrepreneurial skills, and business success, were valid and reliable. The analysis used in this study was a multiple linear regression analysis technique.

Results

The results of this study showed that the social media variable (X1) had a significant influence on the success of the Dopamine Cafe business partially. This indicates that promotional and interaction efforts carried out through social media platforms contribute positively in increasing the popularity and sales of the cafe. In addition, entrepreneurial skills (X2) also have a significant impact, both individually and simultaneously, on business success. This suggests that business owners and management that are skilled in the aspect of entrepreneurship are able to manage and develop businesses more effectively.

Discussion

The results of this study provide a clear picture of the importance of the role of social media and entrepreneurial skills in determining the success of a business, especially in the context of a cafe such as the Dopamine Cafe. Entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs are advised to make maximum use of social media and develop their entrepreneurial skills in order to achieve greater success in the business world. By understanding and applying the findings of this research, it is hoped that businesses can improve their business performance and maximize the potential that exists in the market.
