Introduction

In the context of the Medan Class I Correctional Center, the performance of Community Supervisors (PK) plays a significant role in the success of correctional programs. The Medan Class I Correctional Center is a correctional facility that aims to rehabilitate and reintegrate offenders back into society. The performance of PK employees is essential in achieving this goal, as they are responsible for providing guidance and counseling to clients, as well as helping them in social reintegration.
This study aims to examine the effect of education and training and work environment on the performance of PK employees at the Medan Class I Corrections. The study uses an explanatory approach with survey methods and case studies to gather data from 35 PK employees at the Medan Class I Correctional Center. Multiple linear regression analysis is used to test the research hypothesis.
Literature Review

Methodology
This study uses an explanatory approach with survey methods and case studies to gather data from 35 PK employees at the Medan Class I Correctional Center. The survey method involves administering a questionnaire to PK employees to gather data on their education and training, work environment, and performance. The case study method involves gathering data from PK employees through in-depth interviews and observations.
Multiple linear regression analysis is used to test the research hypothesis. The independent variables used in this study are education and training and work environment, while the dependent variable is employee performance.
Results
The results of this study show that education and training and work environment have a significant influence on the performance of PK employees at the Medan Class I Correctional Center. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.55 or 55% shows that the independent variable (education and training and work environment) can explain 55% of variations in the dependent variable (employee performance).
Further analysis shows that the work environment variable has a dominant influence compared to educational and training variables. This shows that a conducive and supportive work environment has an important role in improving the performance of PK employees.
Research also tests the second hypothesis, namely regarding the effect of education and training on the performance of PK employees before and after training. The results show that there were positive and significant differences in the performance of PK employees before and after training. This shows that education and training have a significant positive impact in improving the capabilities and skills of PK employees.
