Primary data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires directly, while secondary data were obtained through literature studies. The data analysis methods used included instrument tests, classical assumptions tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.

The results of the study showed that competencies and rewards have a significant impact on the effectiveness of employee performance. The hypothesis test simultaneously showed a correlation coefficient value (R) of 0.888, indicating a strong relationship between the competency and reward variables with the effectiveness of performance. The percentage of relationships reached 88.8%, indicating that the better the competence and the more appropriate the reward, the higher the effectiveness of employee performance. Additionally, the Adjusted R Square value of 0.775 showed that the competency and reward variables can explain 77.5% of the effectiveness of employee performance, while the remaining 22.5% are influenced by other factors outside of this study.

Conclusion

The results of this study provide valuable insights into the effect of competence and rewarding on the effectiveness of employee performance. The findings suggest that increasing competence through training and education, as well as implementing a fair reward system, can significantly improve employee performance. Therefore, companies need to continue to invest in developing employee competencies and implementing a fair reward system to encourage increased performance effectiveness. By doing so, companies can not only increase productivity but also create a more positive work environment, where employees feel valued and motivated to provide the best.
