This alarming rate highlights the need for a comprehensive approach to prevent and overcome dental caries in children.

The Role of Mothers in Maintaining Children's Dental Health

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the characteristics of mothers (age, education, income) and their actions in maintaining the health of children's teeth with the health status of children's dental and oral health. The study was conducted with an analytic survey method with a cross-sectional design in January to December 2011. The research population included all 6 students in 68332 SD Negeri and Budi Murni Private Elementary School 2 in Medan Tuntung District. The research sample was chosen simply, with the mother of each child to become a respondent. The data obtained were analyzed using the Independent T and Anova One Way test.
