Methodology

This study uses a laboratory experiment with the posttest only control group design. Each concentration is tested four times to ensure the accuracy of the results. Data analysis was carried out using the Oneway Anova method, followed by Post Hoc Least Significance Different (LSD) to determine the average inhibition zone between the tested groups.

Oneway Anova test shows the value of P <0.05, which indicates a significant difference in the inhibition of black cumin seed extract to the growth of fusobacterium nucleatum in all concentrations tested.

Conclusion

From the results of this study, it can be concluded that black cumin seed extract has a significant potential to inhibit the growth of fusobacterium nucleatum ATCC** 25586TM bacteria. The optimum concentration of black cumin seed extract can have a positive impact in efforts to overcome periodontitis problems. This discovery shows that black cumin seeds can be an effective natural alternative in managing dental and oral health, especially in tackling bacterial infections that cause gums.
