Analysis of the Food Security Level of Farmers in Pancur Batu District, Deli Serdang Regency: A Critical Examination

The study employed a quantitative descriptive method to collect and analyze data from 30 respondents representing the entire population of farmers in Salam Tani Village. Primary and secondary data were collected through a questionnaire, which was designed to gather information on the farmers' income, household expenditure, education level, and other relevant factors. The data were then processed and presented in table form to facilitate understanding.

The results of the study showed that the farming community in Salam Tani Village still faces significant food security problems. Most farmers are in the low category in terms of food security or can be categorized as a food-prone community. The main factors that affect this condition are the low level of income, high household expenditure, and low level of education.
