A research design called a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) was used with five different treatments related to the length of fermentation: P0 (without fermentation), P1 (fermentation for 7 days), P2 (fermentation for 14 days), P3 (fermentation for 21 days), and P4 (fermentation for 28 days). Each treatment was repeated four times, resulting in a total of 20 treatment units. The measured parameters included the percentage of crude protein, crude fiber, crude fat, and ash.

Results

The results of this study showed that the fermentation time had a significant effect (p <0.01) on crude protein content, crude fiber, crude fat, and white oyster mushroom planting ash content. The analysis conducted revealed that the fermentation treatment for 21 days produced the highest level of crude protein, adequate crude fat content, and low crude and ash levels. This indicates that fermentation at that time can improve the quality of mushroom planting media waste into more nutritious feed ingredients for ruminant livestock.
