The results of this study indicate that the surface roughness of the thermoplastic nylon artificial denture base soaked in green tea without coating edible coating is higher than the coated. However, the two types of treatment still meet the established surface roughness standards. Edible coating functions as a barrier that holds water absorption, thus minimizing corrosive effects and providing a smoother surface. Therefore, this study recommends coating edible coating as a step that can be taken to improve the quality of the base of the artificial denture made from thermoplastic nylon.
