Introduction

The Medan Class IIA Women's Penitentiary Institution is a correctional institution that houses a large number of female residents, many of whom have been convicted of various crimes. The institution is facing a state of overcapacity, which has led to a range of problems, including overcrowding, poor living conditions, and inadequate access to healthcare and other essential services.
