The Effect of Value Perception and Brand Experience on Brand Loyalty on Funds Application Users (Study of Funds Users in Simalungun)

Introduction

The rapid development of financial technology has given birth to various innovations to facilitate human life, one of which is electronic money. The volume and value of electronic money transactions in Indonesia continue to increase every year, this is inseparable from the presence of e-wallet applications in Indonesia. Increased demand for the use of e-wallet in Indonesia requires companies to always provide the best service. Companies must be able to understand the needs needed by users to be loyal to the brand. The important thing to pay attention to by the company is the perception of the value and experience of the user's brand so that users have a good perception and experience of the services provided.

Background

The use of e-wallet applications in Indonesia has become increasingly popular in recent years. This is due to the convenience and ease of use of these applications. However, in order to maintain user loyalty, companies must be able to provide a good experience and value to their users. This includes providing features and services that are beneficial to users, as well as ensuring that the user experience is positive and easy to use.

Research Objectives

This study aims to analyze the effect of the perception of brand values and experience on brand loyalty on users of the funds application in Simalungun. The effect of related variables, namely the perception of brand values and experience, will be analyzed partially and simultaneously to increase brand loyalty.

Methodology

This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative approach. Sampling using purposive sampling technique by involving 100 respondents as research samples. Primary data in this study was obtained from the distribution of questionnaires through Google Form, and secondary data were obtained through literature studies. The analysis method used is the validity test, classical assumption test, reliability test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis test.

Results

The results showed that the value perception variable (X1) and the brand experience variable (X2) partially had a significant effect on brand loyalty. Based on the coefficient of determination test, the R2 value is 0.462, which means the effect of the perception of the value and experience of the brand on brand loyalty of the user application in Simalungun is 46.2%, while the remaining 53.8% is influenced by other factors that are not explained in this study.

Discussion

The results of this study provide several important points that need to be considered by e-wallet companies, especially funds, to increase brand loyalty in Simalungun.

Value Perception

The results of the study show that the perception of value has a significant effect on brand loyalty. This means that users of the funds application in Simalungun are very concerned about the value they get from using this application. The fund company needs to ensure that users feel the high value of the features and services offered.

Brand Experience

Brand experience also plays an important role in building loyalty. Positive experience with applications, such as ease of use, transaction security, and responsive customer service, can increase loyalty.

Other Factors

53.8% User loyalty is not explained in this study. It is important for funds to conduct further research to identify other factors that affect user loyalty, such as social, economic, and cultural factors.

Recommendation

Increasing Value Perception

Funds need to continue to increase features and services that are beneficial for users, such as providing attractive promos, facilitating the transaction process, and providing sophisticated security features.

Improve Brand Experience

Funds need to pay attention to every user interaction with applications, ranging from the appearance of the application, ease of navigation, loading speed, to customer service responsiveness.

Exploring Other Factors

Important for funds to conduct further research to understand other factors that affect user loyalty in Simalungun.

This study provides a better understanding of the factors that influence the e-Wallet application brand loyalty in Simalungun. By understanding the effect of the perception of brand values and experience, as well as identifying other factors that influence loyalty, funds can develop effective strategies to increase user loyalty in Simalungun and increase their market share.

Limitation

This study has several limitations, including the small sample size and the limited scope of the study. Future studies should aim to increase the sample size and scope of the study to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that influence e-Wallet application brand loyalty.
