Introduction

The ability to write Surah Al-Fatihah with Arabic calligraphy is an essential skill for students in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Pandan Tapanuli Tengah. This study aims to explore the ability of students in writing Surah Al-Fatihah using Arabic calligraphy, specifically in the rules of Naskhi calligraphy. The study employed a descriptive field research method to collect data from a sample of 30 students. The collective ability of the students reached a very good category, with a percentage score of 94.031%. This shows that most students have understood and were able to apply the correct calligraphy writing technique. Individually, the results are also satisfying, with 7 students reaching the highest score in the very good category with a percentage of 99.22%.

The high percentage score of 94.031% indicates that most students have mastered the calligraphy writing technique. However, there are also students who are in the category quite well with the lowest score reaching 68.99%. This reflects that many students have succeeded in mastering calligraphy writing techniques effectively, while others need improvement.
