The Effect of Ease of Use and Perception of Security on Repeated Interests of Livin Transactions in Medan City

In today's digital age, mobile banking services have become increasingly popular among the people, especially in urban areas. One such service is Livin by Mandiri, a growing financial transaction service that has gained significant traction in the city of Medan. With numerous mobile banking services offering attractive features, users must reconsider their choices. Two key factors that influence user decisions are the ease of use and security perception. This study aims to analyze the effect of these two factors on the interests of repeated use of Livin by Mandiri.

Research Purpose and Methodology

This study employed a quantitative approach with the association method to analyze the effect of ease of use and security perception on the interests of repeated use of Livin by Mandiri. The research population consisted of Livin by Mandiri mobile banking users in Medan, with a sample of 96 respondents taken through purposive sampling techniques. Primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires directly, while secondary data were collected through literature studies. The analysis methods used include the validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, partial test, simultaneous test, and determination test with the help of SPSS software.

Research Results

The results of the study showed that the ease of use variables had a positive and significant effect on recurrent use of interest. This is evidenced by the value of t count of 4,706, which is greater than 1,985, as well as a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, and a positive regression coefficient of 0.396. This indicates that the easier it is to use Livin, the more likely users are to make repeated transactions.

On the other hand, security perception variables also showed positive and significant effects on recurrent use of interest. The value of t count of 1,955 indicates a strong relationship between security perceptions and interest in use. A significance of 0.049, which is less than 0.05, and a positive regression coefficient of 0.218 confirm that if users feel safe to use Livin, they tend to continue to use it again.

In simultaneous testing, the ease of use of use, security perception, and recurrent use of interest indicate the same effect with an influence level of 0.346, while the other 65.4% are influenced by other factors outside the research model.

From the results of the study, it is clear that the ease of use and security perception play an important role in influencing the interest of users to re-use Livin by Mandiri. Ease of use is closely related to the application interface, the speed of the transaction process, and comfort in accessing services. Meanwhile, security perception is a major concern for users in conducting financial transactions digitally. Users want to ensure that their personal data and financial information are well protected.

The importance of these two factors explains why digital banking service providers must continue to innovate and improve the quality of their services. For Livin by Mandiri, paying attention to user feedback and applying periodic improvements can help increase user satisfaction and attract new users.
