The analysis was carried out based on the peak area and time of retention of the metoxicinamic standard solution, which was known to have a value of 14288593 and 7.563 minutes. The results showed that the level of octil methoxycinamat in Pond's foundation ranges from 0.13% to 0.1655%. Meanwhile, the levels in Sari Ayu were higher, ranging from 0.915% to 7.832%.

Results

The results of this study showed that both Sari Ayu and Pond's foundation contained metoxicinamic octils as a sunscreen. However, there were significant differences in the levels of these compounds. Sari Ayu powder base had a much higher level of metoxicinamic octils than Pond's.
