Introduction

Quail breeders face numerous challenges in optimizing the benefits of quail egg production in accordance with market demand. Therefore, it is essential for them to forecast quail egg production accurately. Forecasting is a systematic process to estimate future data based on existing data in the past. In this study, the ARIMA algorithm was used (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) to predict quail egg production. The ARIMA algorithm was chosen because of its ability to perform short-term forecasting, which is less than two years, with high accuracy based on historical data.

Background of the Study

Quail egg production is a significant industry in many countries, providing a source of income for farmers and a nutritious food product for consumers. However, the quail egg market is highly competitive, and breeders must be able to adapt to changing market demands to remain profitable. To measure the accuracy of the forecasting model, Mape (mean Absolute Percentage Error) was used, which gives an indication of the extent to which forecasting results are close to reality.
