We also aim to determine the total potential utilization of consumption water and the factors that influence the willingness of the community to pay for environmental services from the water.

Understanding Willingness to Pay (WTP)

Willingness to Pay (WTP) is a concept that illustrates how much value individuals or communities are willing to pay for a service or item. In this study, WTP was measured based on several factors, including the average income of the community, distance to water sources, and the amount of water needs per day. The results showed that the average value of the respondent's WTP was Rp. 164.41 per liter. This figure indicates that the community is willing to pay a significant amount for access to clean water from the Sitekkean Aek Spring.
