In addition, in the dimension of food utilization, all villages were also in the resistant category. This shows that residents are able to use the existing food sources optimally. Good use of food can contribute to public health and better quality of life.

Discussion

Although the results of the study showed that Lima Puluh District had good food security, there were several alternative policies that needed to be considered to improve this situation. For example, the development of educational programs on sustainable food use, improvement of market infrastructure to support food distribution, as well as training to increase local agricultural productivity.
