Introduction

The Glora supermarket located on Jalan AR Hakim Medan is one of the main choices for the surrounding community to shop for daily needs. As a result, it is essential for the supermarket to understand the factors that influence customer interest in re-purchasing at the store. This study aims to examine the effect of three important factors, namely price, location, and promotion, on customer interest to shop again at the Glora Supermarket.

Background of the Study

The Glora Supermarket is a popular destination for shoppers in the Medan area. However, with the increasing competition from other supermarkets, it is crucial for the Glora Supermarket to maintain its customer base and increase interest in re-purchasing. The main questions answered in this study are: Does the price, location, and promotion have an influence on the interest of re-purchase at the Glora Medan supermarket?

Hypothesis

The proposed hypothesis is: "Prices, locations, and promotions have a positive and significant effect on the interest in re-purchase at the Glora Medan supermarket." This hypothesis is based on the assumption that customers are influenced by the price, location, and promotion of the products offered by the supermarket.

Methodology

This study used multiple linear regression methods to analyze the data collected from the Glora Supermarket. The analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between the independent variables (price, location, and promotion) and the dependent variable (interest in re-purchase).

Results

The results of the analysis showed that the hypothesis was proven to be true. Prices (X1), Location (X2), and Promotion (X3) together have a positive and significant influence on the interest of re-purchase (Y) at the Glora Medan supermarket.

Regression Coefficient

The regression coefficient (B1) of 0.337 and B2 of 0.317 show that prices and locations have a positive influence on the interest of re-purchase. The lower the price and the more strategic location, the higher the possibility of customers to return to shop at the Glora supermarket.

Testing F

The F-count value of 29,189 is greater than the F-table value of 2.60, which shows that the three variables together have a significant influence on the interest of re-purchase.

Testing T

The two-way T-count test for prices (X1), Location (X2), and Promotion (X3) respectively 3,602, 2,999, and 3,642. This value indicates that each variable has a significant influence on the interest in re-purchase.

Promotion Dominance

The promotion variable (X3) has the most dominant influence on the interest of re-purchase. This indicates that attractive and effective promotions are the key to attract customers to return to shop at the Glora Supermarket.

Recommendations

This study provides several recommendations for the Glora supermarket to increase the interest in re-purchase:

Maintaining Competitive Prices: Glora Supermarket needs to ensure the price of the product remains competitive compared to other supermarkets in the vicinity.

Improving the Location Strategy: Strategic and easily accessible location will make it easier for customers to reach the Glora supermarket.

Strengthening Promotional Strategies: Glora Supermarket must continue to develop attractive and effective promotional strategies, both through discount programs, prizes, and loyalty programs.

Conclusion

By understanding the influence of these three factors, the Glora supermarket can optimize its business strategy to increase customer satisfaction and maintain their loyalty.
