Introduction

By using organizational communication theory, leadership theory, and motivational theory as a reference frame, this research involves all employees from various office units at SBU Distribution III of PT. State gas company, with a total population of 204 people.

Methodology

To determine the sample, the Arikunto formula is used, which produces 51 respondents, or about 25% of the total population. Research data obtained through field research methods and library, with survey and questionnaire techniques. Data processing is carried out using SPSS version 21.0 software, as well as the Guilford scale for statistical analysis. The results of the hypothesis testing showed the number 0.670, which indicated that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (ha) was accepted. That is, there is a significant influence between leadership and employee work motivation at PT. State Gas Company (Persero) Tbk.
