Introduction

Mount Sinabung, located in Karo Regency, North Sumatra, has been experiencing repeated eruptions since 2010. The eruption has had a significant impact on the environment and the economy of the local community, particularly on carrot farmers in Berastagi District. This study aims to analyze the effect of the eruption of Mount Sinabung on carrot production and farmers' income in the region, using primary and secondary data collected through a simple random sampling method in 85 samples.

Analysis of Factors for the Effect of Carrot Production

The results of the study showed that the factors that influence carrot production before and after the eruption of Mount Sinabung were almost similar. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that the area of land, amount of fertilizer costs, and the amount of labor costs together have a significant influence on carrot production.
