Introduction

The Tamiang watershed in Aceh Province has been plagued by flash floods and landslides, which have raised concerns about the sustainability of the region's ecosystems. In December 2006, a devastating flood hit the area, causing widespread damage and loss of life. In response to this disaster, the Tamiang watershed conservation program was launched to restore the damage and prevent similar disasters in the future. This study divides the Tamiang watershed into three zones based on the height and slope of the slope:
